Vizom Malware

Vizom is a Trojan Horse virus that was recently released but has already managed to take over a significant number of attacked computers. Upon entering the infected machine, Vizom hijacks some important system processes and starts using them as a disguise for its harmful actions.

The Vizom malware

If you have any reason to believe that this malicious program may have infiltrated your system, we strongly recommend that you stay on this page to learn more about the characteristics of the threat and find out what the best course of action is.

Unfortunately, even if your computer is protected by a reliable antivirus program, this doesn’t always guarantee timely detection of the threat so even if your current security tool doesn’t warn you about an ongoing Trojan Horse infection, this doesn’t mean you can be certain your machine is clean, especially if there are any symptoms that may be associated with Vizom.

The reason antivirus programs oftentimes fail at spotting new threats like Vizom is because their databases are not yet updated with the details of the new virus. Such recently released Trojans like Vizom are known as Zero-Day malware and they are the most dangerous form of malware exactly because the users’ antivirus programs may not be able to stop them on time. Furthermore, once the virus gets inside the system, it may block the antivirus that’s on the computer and even prevent you from downloading a new one. However, even if this happens on your computer, there are still ways to fight the infection. You just need to know where to look for the Trojan Horse files and settings in order to delete them, thus removing the threat from the computer. In the next guide, you will find instructions that will show you the different locations where Vizom-related data might be hiding so that you would have the chance to remove it. However, the manual steps may not always be enough so if you complete the guide and still see symptoms of Vizom, you are advised to try out the anti-malware tool we’ve added to the guide as it has been tested many times against similar Trojan Horse infections and can help you fight this malware.

The Vizom Malware

One important characteristic of malware like Vizom, Wup.exe, Walliant, is that they could have different abilities and be used in different ways depending on the situation. This also means that the symptoms triggered by a malware like Vizom could vary from one infection instance to the other.

For example, if the virus is trying to spy on you and steal sensitive data, you will probably not notice any visible symptoms. However, if the threat automatically downloads a Ransomware virus on your computer, your files will likely get encrypted by the Ransomware soon after the download is completed. Also, in some instances, Trojan viruses try to use the system resources of the infected machine to complete different criminal tasks, in which case sudden crashes, errors, slow-downs, and screen-freezes are likely to occur. If any of those symptoms appear on your computer, be sure to complete our guide and/or use the recommended malware-removal tool to clean your system from anything that may harm it.
