In the following paragraphs we have reviewed Wannacryptor Ransomware- a virus whose family is Ransomware, and which is really harmful, and could even become the reason for some file encryption – especially of the data most dear to you.

The Ransomware malware. What kind of viruses are included there?

The programs in the Ransomware group are more than simple malware. This malicious category is also among the most quickly expanding virus families in the cyber world. Here are its subgroups:

  • SCREEN/MOBILE-SCREEN-LOCK VIRUSES: the representatives of this subgroup may target smart phones, laptops, desktop PC, tablets,  or/and other portable , and make you unable access their screens because there is displaying a very big ransom-demanding message, which keeps appearing until you pay the needed ransom.;
  • RANSOMWARE USED against CYBER CRIMINALS: some of the responsible authorities could use Ransomware-like products for dealing with hazardous online criminals. For instance, no matter who violates any copyright policy or law may get stopped from doing that, and made to pay for whatever wrong they have committed with the help of such programs. Nonetheless, this is the only case when such software is used decently.;
  • FILE-TARGETTING VERSIONS (popular with the definition FILE-ENCRYPTING): this is the most popular subfamily of these malware. Its members are able to invade your PC, and then collect various details about the data you exploit most regularly. Following that this malware encrypts those files, normally with a very intricate key. Once every single file of interest has been encoded, you are sent one usually scary notification to inform you about the ways and currencies to use to pay the demanded money.

Which subgroup of Ransomware is Wannacryptor Ransomware categorized as?

Wannacryptor Ransomware is a piece of data-affecting malware. This subcategory’s representatives typically invade your system with the help of a Trojan- another malware version. Usually, what happens is that the Trojan virus ensures the safe passing of the Ransomware virus inside your computer.  Once both of these malicious programs have eventually entered your computer, they usually proceed with their preprogrammed activities – scanning of all your storages and encrypting the most regularly used data there.

What could possibly help in the war against Ransomware?

Here comes the unpleasant part of this article. We do not want to discourage you in any way; however, we are not going to mislead you into thinking that an infection with Ransomware is easy to be removed and its consequences – to be reversed.

By do means, do not doubt that, Wannacryptor Ransomware is positively the worst virus you may ever catch and its removal is not anything easy. Relatively speaking, you may need time, attention or special skills to fight such a virus.. Consequently,  we cannot just promise you will manage to successfully fight this virus, but we are sharing some methods and techniques you can use.

Our recommendations:

  1. Never start fighting this Ransomware with any expectations. Get ready to say bye to your encrypted data if it has no back-up. Perhaps you will need an entire-system reinstall to get rid of this virus.;
  2. Check your options, look for ways, read some forums, ask some experts – see what people have done to recover from such a virus.;
  3. Consider the option of purchasing some software, which has been designed to fight such threats, maybe it will solve your problem.;
  4. Take a look at our Removal Guide below. It consists of instructions which could be useful and result in the removal of Wannacryptor Ransomware. However, once again- we cannot promise you that.
  5. Ultimately – do not pay the ransom as soon as you have received the ransom-demanding alert. Try everything possible.

The only always working thing:

Sadly, but true, once your PC has been affected by the virus, your options are limited and nothing can guarantee the success of your actions. Thus, the moral of the whole story is the following:

  • No matter what happens, secure important data by backing it up.
  • Install and update the greatest anti-virus tool you can find – such powerful programs may stop you from catching many other viruses.
  • Simply ignore the potential sources of Ransomware, which could be many and various, but the most regular ones are- illegitimate freeware or torrents; pretending-to-be system requests; fake ads; diverse emails and all other shady letters; all kinds of email attachments.

Good luck!
