Wewowshop

Wewowshop is a malware app that takes over the search engine of popular browsers like Chrome and Firefox and injects in them aggressive ads. Wewowshop will also page-redirect you to unknown sites in an attempt to boost the ratings of those sites.

If your computer is showering you with hundreds of pop-up windows, banners and other forms of online advertising, this is probably because you have Wewowshop installed on your system. What you are experiencing is recognized as a Browser Hijacker program which has been messing with people’s browsers for quite some time now. The program may spam your screen with different sponsored ads, banners, pop-ups, redirect links and colorful click-prompts and install some changes inside your browser, which may affect the way your search engine or the homepage operate. Some of the web users may learn to ignore the adverts and the changes and may not really be annoyed by them. However, the readers of this article are probably trying to find a method to uninstall Wewowshop without having a second thought and we will try to assist them. A quick removal of this nagging software is surely the most effective way to get rid of all the sponsored ads and redirects, and in the Removal Guide below you will find out exactly how to do that.

The Wewowshop Virus

A very common reaction to the ads streaming problem that Browser Hijackers like the Wewowshop virus cause is for people to believe their computer has been targeted by a computer virus. We can easily understand the confusion – after all, the word “virus” is the first thing that comes to the mind when there is some unusual activity that is happening inside the computer.

Moreover, nobody wants an ad-generating program like Wewowshop  on their computer, which constantly spams their screen with sponsored messages. Yet this type of software is more of an annoyance than a real danger. A malicious virus, such as a Trojan or a Ransomware can cause real problems and should be regarded as truly dangerous. This type of malware is capable of corrupting the entire OS or stealing huge amounts of money from its users by keeping their digital documents as hostages until a ransom has been paid. All that said, you should cool down and take a breath – with Wewowshop you aren’t fighting some sort of malicious software and your PC is not at risk. Once you remove the ad-generating software, your computer should be like new. Until the Hijacker is effectively uninstalled, however, don’t be surprised that the adverts you see on your computer screen may be overly-intrusive and aggressive – this is to be expected for the majority of these programs. At times, those apps may literally fill the computer’s screen with unwelcome pop-ups, banners, and boxes that appear in dozens and are extremely hard to get rid of. This behavior is fairly often mistakenly referred to as a computer virus attack. In spite of their invasive nature, however, pieces of software of the Browser Hijacker category are far from being dangerous viruses. They are simply referred to as potentially unwanted. Nevertheless, even though apps like Wewowshop, Eduratsu and Sadlye are normally not a security hazard, you should still be careful with them and especially with the ads and the sponsored links they display. Sometimes, even though this happens rarely, fake ads and misleading messages may sneak inside the regular ads stream and may redirect you to unsafe web locations if you happen to click on them. That’s why, to eliminate the risk of accidentally landing on something hazardous, it is best to uninstall the software that is generating potentially unwanted commercials.
