What can Trojans do?
A typical trait of most malware programs that can be categorized as Trojans is their versatility or in other words their ability to carry out different illegal and harmful tasks while inside their victim’s PCs. Because of this, we can’t really predict what WinstarNssmMiner might attempt to do if it has targeted your machine but we could give you several examples of common Trojan Horse uses so that you can get a general idea about the potential dangers that might come with such viruses. In other instances, a virus from this category might be used to cause severe damage to your machine’s system by deleting essential OS data, corrupting Registry keys, crashing the computer, causing system errors and so on. In addition to that, a Trojan might make it possible for other viruses to sneak inside your computer by serving as a backdoor. In fact, this method of malware infection is oftentimes used when a hacker seeks to infiltrate users’ computers with Ransomware viruses. To top it all, a hacker who has invaded your PC with a WinstarNssmMiner or some other Trojan might be able to take over your system and exploit its RAM, CPU and even GPU to mine cryptocurrencies, conduct DDoS attacks or expand the size of the malware’s botnet by sending infected spam e-mails to more users.
