This page aims to help you remove Wkalle “Virus”. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Wkalle “Virus” is a browser-hijacking page-redirect that can silently get installed into the system without your actual approval. If you often download different freeware programs or if you have recently installed some software from a torrent or some automatic installation manager, then probably Wkalle “Virus” has come along with one of those installation packs in case this pesky software is currently on your PC. This browser hijacker is generally not harmful but it can display ads, banners and pop-ups on your desktop every time you open your browser. It may also replace the homepage or the search engine of your Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer and initiate redirects to different intrusive pages. Such activity, as we said, is not malicious and cannot be compared to the harmful abilities of a Trojan Horse or of a Ransomware virus, yet, hijackers can be really annoying which is why they are deemed unwanted. For this reason, many users are looking for ways to uninstall Wkalle “Virus” from their computers and remove its ads.

Unfortunately, resetting the affected browser’s changes is unlikely to help you get rid of the hijacker. Typically, the software relies on browser help files that re-install it with the next opening of the browsing program. That’s why we advise you to use reliable security software and have a look at our detailed removal instructions in order to effectively uninstall Wkalle “Virus”. You can find such instructions below this article, so stay with us so that you can learn how to successfully handle a hijacker application.

Wkalle “Virus”- a browser hijacker that can fill your screen with ads and redirect you to various web pages

If you find Wkalle “Virus” on your computer, you should be aware of the fact that it might deliver ads based on users’ browsing and the activities they perform while online. For this purpose, the hijacker could track the users’ online activities and collect information about their interests such as most visited webpages, most frequently opened ads, and more. Once the program gathers the necessary amount of information, it starts generating a lot of targeted pop-ups, banners, sponsored links, ads and pages, which aggressively prompt you to click on them.

We’re sure you do not want to deal with such irritating issues every time you browse the web, so we advise you to uninstall Wkalle “Virus” with the help of the Removal Guide below. If you cannot remove the hijacker using our manual instructions, you can try with the professional malware-removal tool provided below. The number of ads, which Wkalle can provide in a single browsing session, can definitely be annoying but what is even more annoying is its redirecting service. With the help of the newly installed search engine, the hijacker may modify your search results and show you some sponsored web pages instead of the real information you are looking for. You may even be misled and click on links, which may contain potentially unsafe content. While the goal of Wkalle isn’t something malicious and is primarily advertising-oriented, you still cannot be sure which ads and links are legitimate and which may be compromised. Very often, the hackers use methods like melvertising to distribute threats such as Trojans and Ransomware, and it is not excluded that such infected transmitters get displayed on your screen along with the regular ads.

Additionally, the constant redirecting process and ad-generating services may quietly use your processor’s resources to communicate with affiliate sites and load sponsored content on your computer. The biggest problem with this activity is the potential slowdown of the computer and of the affected browser. .

Ways to protect your computer from browser hijackers:

Browser hijackers are not computer viruses and they do not infect you in stealth. In fact, most users install programs like Wkalle “Virus” themselves but they are often unaware of that. That’s why, here, we will give you some tips on how to protect yourself from such programs.  When installing free software, you should always choose the User or Advanced Setup installation options. This will allow you to see all bundled components that may have been added to the downloaded software package. If you go for the Standard or Default installation settings, you may not be informed about any added software applications and such might get installed on your PC automatically, alongside the main program. So, to prevent any potentially unwanted components, just click User or Advanced Settings and uncheck the extra components which you do not want to install on your computer.
