Have you ever heard about viruses called ‘Trojans’? It is very likely that you have, as they are pretty infamous. At the present moment this alias stands for all the malicious programs that first tend to appear harmless, but turn out to be awfully intrusive and dangerous afterwards. Actually, this is one of the malware groups with the largest number of members, which we can blame for more than 70% of the malware-caused infections, which have ever taken place. In the article below we attempt to thoroughly describe all of the features of this malicious software group, as well as the ultimate characteristics of Xagent Mac Malware, the particular program we are talking about. Hopefully, the Removal Guide we have designed and attached below will also be helpful when it comes to the removal of this dangerous Trojan.

What is typical for of all the Trojans we are aware of:

In general, any virus from this software group could be characterized by a kind of unnoticeable behavior. You will read in the following paragraphs that these viruses may be preset to perform a big range of harmful tasks while inside your system. Nonetheless, all of them are very likely to do whatever they have been programmed to secretly do, and you might not be able to notice any visible signs of any suspicious activity. Moreover, you have to be aware of the fact that all of these dangerous programs may be very diverse when it comes to what hackers can program them to do while inside your PC. However, the most sources of this malware are normally one and the same, although they are as many as they are different. What makes all these diverse Trojans members of one and the same software family is their ability to take over your computer in a secret way and harm it without giving out any signs of their activities.

Generally speaking, Trojans could have many different purposes. What’s the one of Xagent Mac Malware?

  • Corruption/ modification/ even destruction:

Any member of this malware category might be exploited for crashing your entire PC. Another way of using such viruses is for the purpose of formatting your drives; and leaving you unable to efficiently explore your systems’ features. Quite surprisingly, many hackers choose their victims randomly and are just having fun by destroying these machines and systems. Their activities are not necessarily personal against you; they might simply be all about the criminals’ sense of humor.

  • Just spying:

Often Xagent Mac Malware may be exploited as an instrument for spying on you and your activities while online. The hackers behind Xagent Mac Malware could even turn on all your computer’s accessories, like mics and cameras, in order to watch you all the time. Furthermore, this malicious program might enable its creators to record your keystrokes and then hack your accounts. The hackers that have sent this particular Trojan after you could need some information, related to your workplace or the organization, which you work for. As a result, all your activities, which are connected to your job, might get spied on.

  • For easily spreading various malicious programs:

Also, Trojans may be used for distributing Ransomware viruses. If this is your case, then your files are indeed in great danger. If you are wondering why, here is your answer – the ransom-requiring viruses are used for encoding data, which you may never be able to recover, once it has been encrypted. Even in case that you decide to pay the ransom, you could still lose your data forever.

Just bear in mind that it’s impossible to mention all of the possible Trojan functions and features. Nevertheless, you at least have an idea of what to expect from such a virus.

What are the potential Trojan sources?

– Xagent Mac Malware could be incorporated in various web sites; torrents; shareware.

– Such a virus may come from video and movie-distributing webpages – normally, some illegal ones, which  often violate many copyright laws.

– Getting infected is also very likely if you open a contagious letter from your email; or anything that comes attached to it: a video, an image, even from a text document.

– Getting a Trojan could also happen in case you click on any fake pop-up ad. Such ads could be injected with the virus directly or they could simply take you to places online with potoentially dangerous content.
