This page aims to help you remove Yeadesktopbr “Virus”. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.
Very few programs can annoy you as much as a browser hijacker like Yeadesktopbr “Virus” can. If such software is operating on your system, your Chrome, Firefox or Explorer browser is the one that is more likely to be affected. Its homepage or search engine may be replaced, some ads, banners, and sponsored messages may frequently pop-up on its window every time you open a new tab, and most of your searches may suddenly get redirected to some unfamiliar new sites, full of nagging advertisements. This browser hijacking activity has the potential to be very irritating and could really cause you some serious disturbance when it comes to surfing the web with the affected browser. Fortunately, there is a way to safely uninstall Yeadesktopbr “Virus” and remove all of its ads, and in the next lines, we are going to show you all the steps for that in details.
Browser hijackers – how do they work?
Browser hijackers are special pieces of software that have the ability to generate hundreds of advertisements (such as pop-ups, banners, new tabs, in-text messages, and links) and display them on the users’ screens with the help of a special ad-generating component, which gets integrated with their default browser. Yeadesktopbr “Virus” is a program from the browser hijacking type, which can be related to the above-described activity and when it operates on your system, you are more likely to experience a flow of ads and page redirects, as well as some changes in the homepage or the search engine of your browser. Such activity is perfectly legal according to the law, but the users who have to face it, often categorize it as irritating and accuse it in significant browsing-related disturbance, frequent ads interruptions, and exposure to nagging and undesired advertising content.
Indeed, browser hijackers can be annoying, but there is a good explanation for their rather aggressive ad-generating behavior. The people, who create browser hijackers and own them (vendors, marketers, developers), use these pieces of software as tools, which help them to position certain ads of services and products directly on the users’ screens and this way, increase the exposure and the chances for a sale. This is a very common marketing practice, which not only makes people see and click on more ads but also brings profits for the vendors and the marketers through direct sales or Pay-Per-Click campaigns. Programs like this also help in bringing more traffic to certain websites by redirecting the users’ searches to specific advertised pages. That’s why, these pieces of software are widely distributed by marketers, mostly in software bundles, where they are packed along with some other free or attractive applications that the users download from the web. However, they can also be found in spam emails, direct free download links from the web, some torrents, freeware or shareware platforms.

How dangerous can a piece like Yeadesktopbr “Virus” be for your system?
Browser hijackers are often mistaken for viruses. This is not surprising, having in mind the aggressive way they can take over the user’s browser and make it serve the needs of the vendors. However, the true nature of these programs is not malicious. A piece like Yeadesktopbr “Virus” lacks the harmful abilities of a real virus, a Trojan horse or a Ransomware infection. Apart from its intrusive ad-generation, the browser hijacker does not initiate any destructive actions, therefore, the security experts do not consider it as a serious threat to the users’ computers.
Still, we won’t be really accurate if we don’t mention the potentially unwanted consequences of keeping such software on your machine. Yeadesktopbr “Virus” cannot destroy your files, mess with your software or encrypt your data the way that Ransomware or a Trojan can do, but it may eventually make your browser unresponsive or cause it to frequently crash and freeze. Also, there are some indirect risks, which this type of software may expose you to. For example, the randomly displayed ads on your screen may not always be as harmless as they seem. It is very easy for some hackers with malicious intentions to secretly insert a misleading ad or link inside the flow of pop-ups that you see and if you, by any chance, click on that very ad, you may get contaminated with some nasty virus. This is just a possible scenario, which is not necessarily meant to happen but is a risk that you can’t predict. With this in mind, it is a good idea to stay away from the ads and redirects that this hijacker generates or better – directly remove them by uninstalling the hijacker from your system.
