There is just no way this browser hijacker to remain any longer on your system if you strictly follow the instructions and scan your system throughout. But first, let’s make clear the danger level of this software and its specifics.
How dangerous can a browser hijacker like Zaxar Games Browser “Virus” be?
Browser hijackers are generally not programs from the malicious type. These pieces of software are legally developed, do not contain harmful scripts and, unlike the real viruses or infections like Trojans, or Ransomware, they do not aim to cause any damage to your system. The main reason for the existence of programs like Zaxar Games Browser “Virus” is to serve as advertising tools. They usually integrate an ad-generating component within your default browser and this way, make it display hundreds of ads, pop-ups and banners or redirect you to various promotional sites. Such activity aims to aggressively expose you to certain products, services and offers and make you click on them and buy something. Of course, the people who benefit from that are the advertisers and the vendors of the displayed items and they would be more than happy if you really click on their ads because this can bring them profits.
The aggressive advertising approaches they sometimes apply, however, despite not considered as harmful, may irritate the users and may cause some disturbance. Often times, for example, the advertisers, who control programs like Zaxar Games Browser “Virus”, may use them to collect information about the users’ interests, based on their browsing habits. They may track down the browsing history, recent web searches, likes, shares and location in order to display more relevant ads and make the people click on them. For the users, however, it may be very difficult to deal with the flow of unstoppable pop-ups, banners, and ads since they are usually placed all over the screen and sometimes tend to redirect them to various other sites full of sketchy advertising content. Unfortunately, there is no way to stop this invasion and remove the nagging ads unless you fully uninstall the hijacker that initiates it. For this reason, programs like Zaxar Games Browser “Virus” are often referred as potentially unwanted.

Be careful with the ads and free installers!
If you don’t want to deal with Zaxar Games Browser “Virus” and other similar programs every now and then, here are some good tips that may really pay off in the future. It is good to know that browser hijackers are usually placed inside the installers of some other free or attractive applications. That’s why, for your safety, it is always advisable to check every new setup that you are about to run for some additionally bundled software and customize it through the “Advanced” or the “Custom” options given in the installer. This may help you prevent not only potentially unwanted software like the one above, but also some real viruses and nasty infections like Trojans and Ransomware from sneaking inside your system if they have somehow been placed inside the installation pack.
Another thing, which you should not trust much, is the stream of randomly displayed ads on your screen. While Zaxar Games Browser “Virus” cannot harm your system directly, it may still indirectly expose you to some infected content or some misleading links or sites, where security hazards may be lurking. This risk is more related to one very popular malware-distribution practice called Malvertising, which helps the hackers to mask harmful infections as ads, offers or links and trick the people into clicking on them. Therefore, it is generally advisable to avoid interacting with the pop-ups, tabs, and pages you get redirected to since there is no way to know whether they are safe or not. It is definitely not worth it to catch a nasty malicious infection this way, and the best way to absolutely eliminate this risk is to remove the browser hijacker from your system.
