Nowadays, one of the greatest dangers you can encounter online is called Ziptox1 Ransomware File. This cryptovirus falls in the category of the infamous Ransomware and is capable of encrypting all your files and not letting you access them unless you pay a fat amount in ransom. This may not look like a big deal to some of you, but to those whose entire work and life is kept on the hard drive of the laptop, meeting Ziptox1, with no doubt, is a quite stressful and problematic experience.  Just the thought of not being able to access your projects, documents, pictures, and all the useful and nice things you keep on your PC is dreadful enough. But what to do if you have already been infected? How to remove Ziptox1? How to decrypt your files? How to prevent such threats in the future? We will give you answers to all of these questions in the next lines and the removal guide below may contain a helpful solution that will help you eliminate the nasty Ransomware.

Ziptox1 – the latest version of Ransomware

Ransomware is a type of malicious software, which evolves rapidly. More and more advanced versions come up every day. One of the latest, named Ziptox1, is an advanced malicious piece, which comes armed up with a very sophisticated encryption and distribution. This means, that you need to be very careful dealing with it and, unfortunately, there isn’t any guarantee that you will be able to fully recover from its encryption no matter what  you do. However, our team is dedicated to helping Ransomware victims, and in the guide below we will do our best to help you remove the nasty threat and eventually restore some of your files. But for that, let us tell you first how Ziptox1 operates and how you got infected with it.

How can Ziptox1 infect you?

Usually, a Ransomware infection may occur if you have already been contaminated with a Trojan horse. Such an infection may happen when you click on a spam email, an infected attachment, a misleading link, contaminated webpage, site with sketchy content, etc. There are many ways for hackers to hide their Ransomware in the web, but what they mostly do is they use the security holes that the Trojan infection has already made, and under its cover they silently sneak the malicious piece inside the system. Once inside, Ziptox1 encrypts all the files found on the hard drive and the other connected devices. What is really nasty about this particular threat is that it does its dirty job without many visible symptoms and at the end it reveals itself with a ransom note. The crooks behind Ziptox1 place their ransom demands there, which may vary from a couple of hundreds to a couple of thousands, requested usually in Bitcoins. The victim is left with not many options but to decide whether to pay the requested ransom and get a decryption key, which, according to the crooks will decrypt the encrypted data, or deal with the Ransomware by other means.

Paying the criminals is a bad idea…

At first look, paying the money that the hackers request seems like a reasonable solution to save the data that is probably priceless for you. However, many reputed security experts alarm that this is really a bad idea. The more people agree to pay to such unscrupulous crooks, the more they will continue to distribute such nasty threats and evolve their Ransomware. Moreover, think again – there really isn’t any guarantee that you will get the decryption key that you have been promised. The chance of being burned off with a huge amount of money for the ransom and then left with all your files encrypted and a heavily compromised computer is, well, quite realistic. Unfortunately, the statistic shows that many Ransomware victims keep experiencing that. That’s why we would also advise you not to submit to the hackers’ demands and try everything else to remove Ziptox1 from your PC as soon as possible. The guide below contains very detailed instructions on how to detect the threat and manually delete all of its traces from your machine. We also suggest you try the steps below to recover some of your data. The best, of course, is if you have a backup of your files somewhere on an external drive or a cloud. This way, once you remove the Ransomware, you only need to copy them back on your PC. Keeping backups, in fact, is the best protection against future data loss, but it is also a good idea to invest in reputed antivirus software to ensure that your computer is safe and updated with the latest security patches.
