Nprotect Malware

The Nprotect malware is the most common type of malware. What unites these threats, like Nprotect malware, is their ability to carry out a number of malicious activities in a relatively covert manner.

After infecting your computer, Trojans may lie dormant for months, either waiting for the perfect opportunity to execute their malicious mission or doing so invisibly. There is some helpful information on this type of malware later in the text. In addition, we have included the steps that must be taken to remove Nprotect Malware, a new representative that is threatening a growing number of online users.

Nprotect.exe

Some malicious programs masquerade as nprotect.exe, especially when located in the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 folder. Therefore, you should check the nprotect.exe process on your computer to find out if it is a threat.

Most often, Trojans like Nprotect Malware may cause the following problems on your device, but they can perform other malicious activities as well:

  • Making changes to certain files;
  • Sudden crashes in the system;
  • Destruction of data;
  • Remote system control;
  • Espionage by activating your microphone and camera and keeping track of everything you do;

Of course, this short list is not covering everything that the Trojan can do. The Nprotect Malware infection might be used as a means of distribution of various forms of malware into your already compromised machine, including file-encrypting viruses like Ransomware that are used for money extortion.

Nprotect Malware may also be related to theft in a variety of forms. With the help of this malicious software hackers may be able to get access to your personal information and may steal money or valuable information. Your online bank accounts might be drained, or information about your other valuables could be stolen. Your social media accounts may be hijacked and used to spread spam and other malicious content, thus compromising your identity as well. On top of that, the hackers may use the Trojan to perform a wide variety of cybercrimes under your name. Therefore, it is beyond doubt that you should remove Nprotect Malware as soon as you spot it.

Where you may encounter Trojans?

Trojans can be found almost everywhere on the Internet. Hackers use a variety of distribution methods to spread their malicious software and infect as many computers as possible. However, to give you an idea of where and how you could be infected by Nprotect Malware or any of its siblings, we have come up with a list of the most common sources:

All types of websites offering free software and applications, free video streaming, and access to illegal copies of music or other material that would typically cost money are possible locations where Trojans may be found.

Emails from unknown senders may potentially include this malicious software. In addition, it’s not only the emails themselves but also any files that have been attached that might spread the threat. Nprotect Malware may infect any file format or version, from executables to images and PDFs.

Keep in mind that not all online advertisements that come up on your screen are legitimate and safe. Additionally, they might potentially redirect you to malicious websites that include Trojans or other harmful software. The risk arises from the fact that it’s sometimes difficult to distinguish between adverts that are safe and those that might contain malware. That’s why, our general advice is to stay away from them altogether.

How to effectively deal with Trojans?

Though Trojan infections like Nprotect Malware and Altruistcs are difficult to deal with, they may be removed effectively. You can do this by using a professional removal program or a manual removal method. The instructions in the removal guide below explain how to locate and delete Nprotect Malware. If you need additional help, please use the recommended removal software or write us in the comments.
