Aluc Service
Aluc Service is a process that may appear in the Task Manager of a computer system. Despite its seemingly legitimate appearance, it is, in reality, a malware-related process that is commonly used by entities involved in fraudulent activities such as coin mining and cryptocurrency scams. Typically, this malware disguises itself as a regular service while engaging in harmful activities on the user’s system.
That being said, one of the primary functions of Aluc Service is related to cryptocurrency mining. It is a type of coin-mining virus that significantly increases the CPU usage on a PC. This high CPU usage can slow down the computer and may cause long-term damage to the hardware due to overheating, therefore this threat requires immediate removal to prevent further harm.
Aluc Service is a malware process often found in computer systems, disguised as a legitimate service. It is primarily associated with fraudulent activities such as coin mining and rootkit deployment. Its presence in a system is indicative of a security compromise.
Deleting Aluc Service involves several steps. These include using malware removal tools to identify and eliminate malicious processes, uninstalling any related malicious programs, and resetting browser settings if necessary. The removal process may vary depending on the system and the extent of the infection.
The Aluc Service Virus
The term “Aluc Service Virus” specifically refers to the malicious aspects of Aluc Service. The threat is flagged by most security software as a Trojan and is distributed through various means, such as exploiting software vulnerabilities and masquerading as utility updates or games. This tactic allows it to infiltrate computer systems without the user’s knowledge, taking advantage of weaknesses in the system’s defenses. As a Trojan horse, the Aluc Service virus poses significant dangers to affected systems. It can lead to compromised system performance, data theft, and unauthorized access to user information. The stealthy nature of this malware makes it particularly dangerous, as it can operate undetected for extended periods.
Alucsoft
Alucsoft could be related to the broader context of Aluc Service as a software component or variation. Given the malicious nature of Aluc Service, any related software should be approached with caution and subjected to thorough security checks and removal as it most likely shares similar characteristics, such as being used for fraudulent purposes like BitCoin mining or system manipulation. Users encountering software with names similar to Alucsoft should be vigilant, conducting proper security scans and seeking professional advice if there are concerns about the legitimacy or safety of the software.
Alucservice.exe
Alucservice.exe is the executable file associated with the Aluc Service malware. As such, alucservice.exe is the main component that initiates the malware’s activities on the infected system. It typically runs in the background, consuming system resources for activities like coin mining. Removing the alucservice.exe file requires identifying and deleting the file from the system. This process may involve using advanced malware removal tools, as manual deletion might not be sufficient to fully eradicate the malware.
Aluc app
Aluc App is likely another manifestation or component of the Aluc Service malware. It represents a significant threat to computer security, functioning as a Trojan that engages in activities like cryptocurrency mining. Its ability to disguise itself as a legitimate service makes it particularly insidious, therefore, users should take proactive steps to remove this malware and protect their systems from potential harm.
What is Aluc application?
The Aluc App, as part of the Aluc Service malware, could be an application responsible for executing malicious tasks on the infected system. It may operate in conjunction with the alucservice.exe file to carry out the malware’s objectives. In some cases, the Aluc App may manifest as a browser extension. This extension could be responsible for unwanted browser behavior such as redirects or ad displays, therefore, removing the Aluc App extension from the browser is a crucial step in mitigating its harmful effects.

Uninstall the Aluc Service app and kill its processes
The first thing you must try to do is look for any sketchy installs on your computer and uninstall anything you think may come from Aluc Service. After that, you’ll also need to get rid of any processes that may be related to the unwanted app by searching for them in the Task Manager.
Note that sometimes an app, especially a rogue one, may ask you to install something else or keep some of its data (such as settings files) on your PC – never agree to that when trying to delete a potentially rogue software. You need to make sure that everything is removed from your PC to get rid of the malware. Also, if you aren’t allowed to go through with the uninstallation, proceed with the guide, and try again after you’ve completed everything else.
- Uninstalling the rogue app
- Killing any rogue processes
Type Apps & Features in the Start Menu, open the first result, sort the list of apps by date, and look for suspicious recently installed entries.
Click on anything you think could be linked to Aluc Service, then select uninstall, and follow the prompts to delete the app.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, click More Details (if it’s not already clicked), and look for suspicious entries that may be linked to Aluc Service.
If you come across a questionable process, right-click it, click Open File Location, scan the files with the free online malware scanner shown below, and then delete anything that gets flagged as a threat.
After that, if the rogue process is still visible in the Task Manager, right-click it again and select End Process.
Undo Aluc Service changes made to different system settings
It’s possible that Aluc Service has affected various parts of your system, making changes to their settings. This can enable the malware to stay on the computer or automatically reinstall itself after you’ve seemingly deleted it. Therefore, you need to check the following elements by going to the Start Menu, searching for them, and pressing Enter to open them and to see if anything has been changed there without your approval. Then you must undo any unwanted changes made to these settings in the way shown below:
- DNS
- Hosts
- Startup
- Task
Scheduler - Services
- Registry
Type in Start Menu: View network connections
Right-click on your primary network, go to Properties, and do this:
Type in Start Menu: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
Type in the Start Menu: Startup apps
Type in the Start Menu: Task Scheduler
Type in the Start Menu: Services
Type in the Start Menu: Registry Editor
Press Ctrl + F to open the search window
I’ve gone through all of the steps in uninstalling AlucSoft Services and the whole malware situation with it but I still can’t fully remove it from my pc. Everytime I try it just says that the file is open and so I can’t remove it but I don’t get how to close it or where it is even open. It is constantly overriding my CPU usage and so I can’t do anything on my pc at all without it crashing within a minute or two. Is there anything that I can do?
Hi Austin Hamilton,
did you do all this ins Safe mode ?
Got it off. The antivirus programs didn’t remove it. First look at the date that the Aluc folder was created and uninstall the app that might have installed it. Also reset the browser so it doesn’t come back if it was there . Install a firewall (windows defender) so it doesn’t transmit again.
Then restart in safe mode , by holding shift down when clicking restart. Select recovery , and then go to the cmd prompt.
Go to the appropriate dir : programfiles (x86) \ Alucsoft . Rename all the files by changing the last letter .
Restart , and it should be gone. Hopefully doesn’t come back in the future .
Forgot to mention . In safe mode select the C: , drive first .
