Lodeinfo
Lodeinfo is a malicious program that has the features of a Trojan horse. Once it gets inside a computer, Lodeinfo can execute harmful activities such as data theft, espionage, file-modification, system corruption and more.
Trojan horses, in general, are dreadful online threats that can harm a given computer in many ways. Not only can they spy on you, steal private information or even take full control over the infected device, but also they can insert viruses like Ransomware inside the system and allow hackers to remotely access all the data that is stored there. Mostly, the effects of the Trojan’s attack will be permanent and irreparable, that’s why it is critical to detect and remove the infection as soon as possible. This task, however, may not be easy because Trojan viruses are very stealthy and difficult to catch.

- Access the Task Manager by pressing together the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys and then selecting Task Manager.
- Open Processes and there try to find a process with the name of the unwanted software. If you find it, select it with the right button of the mouse and click on the Open File Location option.
- If you don’t see a “Lodeinfo” process in the Task Manager, look for another suspicious process with an unusual name. It is likely that the unwanted process would be using lots of RAM and CPU so pay attention to the number of resources each process is using.
- Tip: If you think you have singled out the unwanted process but are not sure, it’s always a good idea to search for information about it on the Internet – this should give you a general idea if the process is a legitimate one from a regular program or from your OS or if it is indeed likely linked to the adware.
- If you find another suspicious process, open its File Location too.
- Once in the File Location folder for the suspicious process, start testing all of the files that are stored there by dragging them to our free online scanner available below.

Probably you’ve already heard this but, indeed, if you really want to effectively deal with malware of this type you need to arm yourself with the right tools for detection and more knowledge about the typical features of Trojans. This will help you successfully prevent such infections in the future and remove them before they manage to harm your computer in a serious way. That’s why, in the next paragraphs, we’ll tell you some important details about Lodeinfo and Trojans in general, and then will show you the concrete steps to remove the infection and save your machine.
Trojan viruses can be found in all corners of the web. Most commonly these threats get distributed via different intriguing pop-ups and spam messages, as well as intriguing web ads, online offers, misleading links, torrents or cracked software installers. In general, the malware will pretend to be a harmless piece of web content that won’t raise much doubt so the users actually get tricked into clicking on it randomly or out of curiosity. Sometimes, such a virus may be disguised as a common video game, an audio/video player, a free application or an add-on that is readily available to the user in one click. Of course, many people would take the bait, download and then install the disguised Trojan without knowing it. Once activated, the virus typically requests System Administrator rights to accomplish its destructive objectives.
Sadly, Trojan viruses such as Lodeinfo don’t show any particular symptoms of their presence in the system for some time. In some cases, especially if the virus is a new one, just like Lodeinfo, it may not be identified by the antivirus program that is present on the computer. Still, there are some potential red flags that may at times mean that a malicious program of the Trojan horse type may potentially be operating inside the computer. For instance, if the machine unexpectedly starts to crash or a significant device slowdown is caused due to higher usage of CPU, RAM, and GPU resources, this could be an indicator for an unauthorized activity in the background of the system. Repeated screen freezing, program bugs, unwanted device and program modifications, or machine instability may also indicate a relatively high risk of a Trojan on the computer. That’s why if you detect something like this, you should definitely address all the problems and run a full system scan with reliable security program.
