My nation co
My nation co is a browser-hijacking application which aims to promote specific websites by displaying their ads and links on the screen of popular browsers. My nation co performs its page-advertising activity also through automatic redirects, search engine and homepage changes.
The first thing that users may think when they see an app like My nation co in their Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera or any other web browser is that they might have been attacked by some very unpleasant page-redirecting and ad-generating virus that doesn’t want to get removed. This, however, isn’t the case with browser hijackers because these apps are nothing more than online advertising tools. Yet, they can be quite aggressive in their attempts to promote different sites, products, and services through hard-to-remove ads, banners and pop-ups and they can be bit challenging to uninstall. Besides, apps like My nation co may introduce some new search engine inside the default web browser and may replace the homepage address with some sponsored URL. Such changes may, at first, look like a job of a harmful virus, but they aren’t that alarming.
The main goal of apps like My nation co is to attach to common web browsers (such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, etc.), add some new toolbars and redirect buttons to them, replace the main search engine and the favorite homepage and promote pay-per-click ads and pay-per-view links across the updated browser components.
The browser’s new homepage will presumably be a site that the My nation co’s developers are trying to drag traffic to. And by placing it as a default homepage, you (and anyone else who has the browser hijacker on the device) will make automatic visits to the supported website any time you start your browser.
Identical is the case with the newly installed search engine, imposed by My nation co. The updated version would probably be displaying more advertisements than average in the search results and, thereby, boost the hijacker’s income from pay-per-click ads. Fortunately, none of this can affect your machine negatively, at least not directly. However, these promotional materials and browser changes will most definitely have an impact on your internet surfing.
How can browser hijackers put your device at risk?
Browser hijackers like My nation co are certainly not identical to harmful viruses or malware like Trojan Horses or Ransomware infections. They lack any specific malicious abilities that can corrupt the device or the OS directly. Yet, this cannot be said about the random pop-ups, banners and redirect messages that they can display. Unfortunately, there are plenty of misleading web offers, phishing websites and questionable links and pop-ups, some of which the criminals may use for distribution of notorious threats like the above-mentioned Trojans, Ransomware, Spyware and other viruses. Besides, a substantial number of the pages that choose browser hijackers such as My nation co for their promotion could be less than trustworthy. Some of them may also be used to lure web users into installing fraudulent applications or purchasing some low-quality software, products or services.
So, if you engage with the promotional materials advertised by browser hackers, there are just too many things that might go wrong. Apps like My nation co may automatically redirect you to unfamiliar sites or prompt you to click on various web links and questionable web offers, which is why it is safest to uninstall these pieces of software and remove their browser changes in order to permanently save yourself from their sponsored ads invasion.

If you are still seeing Ads in your browser, it is likely they are generated by the websites you visit and there is nothing you can do about it.
However, if you are seeing Adverts outside of your internet browser, then one of your installed Apps contains the problematic Adware. In this case you need to take a look at this guide.
