The Adidas Virus
Adidas virus is a page-redirecting Android browser hijacker known for its aggressive promotional messages and its ability to secretly gather data from the browser. Adidas virus must not be kept on your device and any changes that it may have made in the browser must be revoked.
If you frequently get your Chrome, Firefox, or the default “Internet” browser app of your Android smartphone or tablet redirected to obnoxious sites that try to sell you something or sites that seem like they could contain malware, then you most likely have a browser hijacker. Sudden generation of pop-ups and banners on your screen even when the browser is not open is an additional symptom associated with this type of unwanted software. If any of this sounds familiar because you are currently experiencing it, then you must take measures to remove the unwanted software that’s messing with your browser before your devices gets exposed to more hazardous software.
The Adidas link virus
Hijackers like the Adidas link virus are not particularly dangerous, but they usually gain lots of permissions once installed which allows them to gather various sorts of data from your system and distribute it to unknown third-parties for undisclosed purposes. Additionally, the redirects in your browser and the aggressive pop-ups may sometimes lead to sites that have malware on them, including Trojans and Ransomware.
To remove the hijacker, you will need to uninstall the app that has brought it to your smartphone/tablet – software like Adidas virus typically doesn’t travel alone and is instead included in other apps that are usually offered for free on different application stores. More detailed instructions on how to rid your device of Adidas virus can be found down below.

- Important!
If you are still seeing Ads in your browser, it is likely they are generated by the websites you visit and there is nothing you can do about it.
However, if you are seeing Adverts outside of your internet browser, then one of your installed Apps contains the problematic Adware. In this case you need to take a look at this guide.
