Hdvideosnet

The Hdvideosnet virus flooding the screen of your browser with its ads, pop-ups, banners, and automatic page-redirects

You’ve come to the right page if you want to detect, and successfully remove the source of the annoying ads, and page-redirects you’ve been getting bugged by lately. Our “How to Remove” site is packed with handy solutions to help you effectively remove unwanted programs, as well as malicious threats. This time, we’re going to point your attention to a typical browser hijacker called Hdvideosnet. This program is likely to irritate you while flooding the screen of your Firefox, Chrome, Safari (or another browser) with its ads, pop-ups, banners, and automatic page-redirects to different sponsored pages. Fortunately, there’s a quick and effective solution to get rid of it. If you follow the instructions in the removal guide below, you can uninstall Hdvideosnet completely and save yourself from its unwanted redirects and browser changes in the homepage and the search engine once and for all.

What can Hdvideosnet do to your computer?

You’ve probably noticed that Hdvideosnet appears immediately on the URL bar of your Chrome, Firefox or Explorer browser, the very moment you open the browsing program. Not only that, but may also notice changes in your homepage, or in the default search engine, both of which are now powered by Hdvideosnet. These changes may result in a heavy flow of advertisements, and redirects to sponsored pages every time you try to search for something on the web. You may be constantly getting interrupted by banners, pop-up boxes, links, new tabs, and promotional materials.

This is exactly what a typical browser hijacker can do while on your system. Such software may even collect some information about your web searches, and try to match them with relevant offers and pay-per-click ads. In some cases, it may be useful to find ads that match your interests and searches, especially if you can get a good deal. However, many users often categorize this activity as annoying, since it can actually decrease the quality of their online experience. There is also a certain risk of bumping into some online threats (such as Trojans or Ransomware) if you get redirected to unsafe web pages by misleading ads or links.

How can you install a browser hijacker on your PC?

In most cases, programs like Hdvideosnet and CaptchaVerifier get installed by default, along with some other, more desirable software. They don’t sneak in the PC like viruses, Trojans or Ransomware, and cannot corrupt your computer, spy on you, steal your credentials, spread viruses, or encrypt your files, and blackmail you. In fact, you can easily prevent them from becoming part of your system by selecting the correct settings in the installation package within which they have been bundled. The thing is most people don’t pay close attention to those settings. They generally continue with a standard/quick setup, and ignore the bundle’s advanced/custom options. And this is exactly where you need to click if you want to prevent potentially unwanted programs from getting installed by default. Just take a look at the customizable settings in any given software installer, and remove the checkboxes from the programs you don’t want to install. But since you ended up with Hdvideosnet, you most likely have skipped the advanced settings, and will now have to follow the steps of manual removal guide below to uninstall it.
