The Au_.exe virus is a harmful malware that is capable of damaging your computer in various ways

The number of infections caused by a Trojan named Au_.exe has increased significantly in the recent days and our “How to remove” team has received several requests from victims of this infection to help them deal with it. Therefore, in the lines below, we’ve decided to share some valuable information on how to remove this Trojan. Before we go any further, we have to mention that Au_.exe and Wup.exe are harmful malwares that are capable of damaging your computer in various ways. Since there is some confusion about its methods of infection, in the paragraphs that follow, we will also address some of the possible sources of this Trojan Horse and the steps that you need to take to remove it from your computer. Hopefully, all this will help you correctly detect and delete Au_.exe without any trouble.

The Au_.exe Trojan – possible abilities

What a virus such as Au_.exe could do is sneak other types of dangerous malware into your Computer, such as different versions of Ransomware or Spyware. Apart from that, a Trojan like Au_.exe could also carry out a number of harmful and malicious processes in the system.

The Trojan versions are considered to be extremely dangerous – what is typical for these infections is their ability to operate stealthily and to infect the user’s computer with little to no symptoms. The victims most commonly don’t even know that their system has been compromised until some major damage occurs.

Sadly, there are many ways a Trojan like Au_.exe can damage your machine. The hackers who create and unleash such viruses may use them to steal your money or your digital identity. That is one of the reasons why Trojans might sometimes be programmed to track you and acquire account credentials that may later allow the cyber criminals to access your bank accounts, or to use your virtual identity without your knowledge.

The hackers may also use the Trojan to monitor your device, or watch everything you do on your computer. All devices connected to your system, such as web cameras and microphones, can be turned on and off remotely and used to spy on you.

Removing a Trojan may be a challenging task but with the help of the right instructions and a trusted security tool, you will have all the chances to effectively delete the infection. The Removal Guide below is specifically created to help you with that and it contains all the details and instructions necessary to enable you to remove this malicious piece of software.

However, in order to prevent threats like Au_.exe from invading your system in the future, you need to stay away from the most common sources of recent Trojan variants. These include all types of suspicious pop-up ads, banners, and redirect links leading to unfamiliar web locations, as well as any unwanted or unusual messages, received both within your spam folder and daily email inbox.
