This being said, they may not face a direct danger from, however, if they keep it on their device, this app might expose them to misleading commercials and pages infected with real malware, including Trojans, Ransomware and viruses. To put it in another way, a piece of software such as is generally referred to be potentially unwanted. Most security experts will consider a browser hijacker.

Browser hijackers are typically developed with the objective of placing paid advertisements on the user’s screen and generating Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and Pay-Per-Visit (PPV) income for the developers. Therefore, as soon as such an app gets installed on your Android, iPhone or iPad, you’ll start seeing all kinds of pushy pop-up adverts, banners and redirect links that promote different sites and redirect you to them.

Unfortunately, the promotional content that gets so aggressively displayed on the screen might not always be reliable and sometimes, it may even be harmful. For instance, you may unknowingly become a victim of a phishing scam or harmful software like a Trojan Horse, Spyware, or Ransomware if you unwittingly engage with anything advertised by the browser hijacker. Of course, this is rather a rarity than a norm but, to remain safe, our team would recommend you to avoid clicking on anything that promotes or even better, uninstall the hijacker as soon as possible.

Restart your Browser. It might be a good idea to Reboot your Android device, just in case.

  • Important!

If you are still seeing Ads in your browser, it is likely they are generated by the websites you visit and there is nothing you can do about it.

However, if you are seeing Adverts outside of your internet browser, then one of your installed Apps contains the problematic Adware. In this case you need to take a look at this guide.
