The Sie haben eine ausstehende Zahlung. Schuldentilgung erforderlich. Email Scam

In case that you have recently opened a scary e-mail stating that you need to pay Bitcoin to a self-proclaimed hacker who has secretly hacked your passwords and computer, then chances are you have become a target of a viral email blackmailing scam. However, it is definitely a good idea to check your computer for hidden malware because your machine might have indeed been compromised without you knowing it.

Many of our users reported to us about an ongoing email spam with the following message:

Hallo!

The harmful consequences of a Trojan horse attack

The representatives of the Trojan horse malware category are some of the nastiest computer infections that one may encounter. These threats can perform a big number of criminal tasks without giving away their presence in the system. A malicious program like “Sie haben eine ausstehende Zahlung. Schuldentilgung erforderlich.”, which is one of the more advanced forms of Trojan-based infections, for instance, could be difficult to detect without the help of a dedicated antimalware tool. The reason is this sneaky virus can mimic regular system processes and background activities and deceive the users about its real purpose and nature. Normally, the victims wouldn’t even know that their computers have been compromised because they typically get infected by clicking on some harmless-looking web content, be it a simple link, an ad, a pop-up, a legitimate-looking web page or an infected software installer, which appears to be completely safe.

While it’s operating, the Trojan rarely triggers any unusual symptoms, which also helps it remain hidden for long. The more it stays on the system, however, the greater the damage it might cause. Such malware could easily compromise the victim’s privacy, steal sensitive data, passwords, banking details and social media profiles, as well as damage the system in a number of ways. In many cases, the Trojan may also deliver other viruses inside the PC such as ransomware, spyware or rootkits making the matters even worse. That’s why, in case you detect “Sie haben eine ausstehende Zahlung. Schuldentilgung erforderlich.” on your machine, you should immediately remove it.
