When the computer is in Safe Mode, press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC at the same time. The Task Manager will immediately show up on the screen. Then, when you’re in it, click the “Processes” Tab (the “Details” Tab on Windows 8 and Windows 10) and look for processes that look suspicious and could be linked to Bundle extension and its ad-generating and page-redirecting activity.

Make sure to keep this in mind, though: It isn’t always necessary that the processes related to the hijacker have that same name. That’s why you need to be on the lookout for other randomly-named processes or unusually high RAM and CPU usage.

Delete the files and folders that are flagged as dangerous. If that is not possible, first right-click on the process that is running and select End Process to stop it, then retry to delete the flagged files.

Press the Start and R keys on the keyboard together. This will open a Run dialog box on the screen right away. In the box, type appwiz.cpl and click OK to run the command.

You will see a Control Panel window. This is where you will be able to look at all the apps that are already on your computer. You need to look for bogus applications that might be linked to Bundle extension or be the ones that might have installed it on your computer. This should open a file called “hosts” on the screen. In the file, look for “Localhost” and look at the IPs at the bottom.

Make a note of any strange IP addresses that show up under “Localhost,” like the ones on the example image below. Then, copy the IPs that look problematic and leave a comment in the comments section under this guide so we can tell you if they pose a risk to your computer.

After you check your Hosts file for changes, go to Network Connections (search for it in the Windows search field) and see if Bundle extension has made any changes to your DNS settings.

• First, choose the Network Adapter that you are using, and then right-click on it to get the menu.
• Choose Properties from the pop-up menu.

When you start IE, click on the gear icon top right, then click on the Manage Add-ons button.
