Feed.chunckapp.com is an invasive app with page-redirecting abilities that will keep getting your browser rerouted to certain sponsored sites. Feed.chunckapp.com targets Mac browsers and gets installed through the help of file-bundles and clickbait ads.
If you have landed an app such as this one and it is currently installed inside your Mac browser, then you will likely want to learn how to get rid of it. In order to uninstall this undesirable piece of software from your Chrome, Firefox, or Safari browser, you will need to ensure that all of its components are deleted from your system. Otherwise, even if you seemingly uninstall Feed.chunckapp.com, it will likely come back to your browser and start page-redirecting it again.
Another thing apps like these are known for doing is changing the settings of your homepage, or replacing the browser’s default search engine tool. Such changes allow the invasive app to get you redirected to its partnering sites more frequently. However, this typically doesn’t benefit you in any way and only makes your browser less optimized.
What is Feed.chunckapp.com?
Feed.chunckapp.com is unwanted Mac software that is labeled as a browser hijacker because it “steals” the infected browser’s settings and replaces them with its own. The goal of Feed.chunckapp.com is to financially benefit its creators by making users visit sponsored pages.
Each time a user gets redirected to any of the sites that are partners of the hijacker, the creators of the unwanted app get financially rewarded. This is the reason why you will keep getting your browser’s traffic rerouted to various unknown sites all the time as long as the hijacker is present in your Mac.
While in and of itself the activity of getting you redirected isn’t going to harm your machine, the addresses you may end up visiting because of the hijacker’s activities may not always be safe, and may sometimes contain phishing elements or be used for spreading Ransomware and Trojan Horses.
