You most probably have started to experience a lot of browsing-related disturbance if you have detected FoundFax.com on your system. Most of your searches probably also get redirected to different sponsored sites and unknown web locations. The funny thing is that, no matter what you do, you cannot remove these new settings. Fortunately, in this article, we have a solution for your web disturbance and a detailed removal guide on how to uninstall all the potentially unwanted modifications from your browser.

To your relief, your system has not been faced with some nasty virus, a tricky Trojan Horse or a Ransomware infection.  FoundFax.com is a browser hijacker that has no intention to perform a criminal activity on your system. Basically, the browser hijackers are potentially unwanted software components that are usually uninstalled from the system of the user due to a large number of promotional content they are capable of displaying. Such programs are used to promote different websites and their products and services directly on the user’s screen during their web browsing session. This is not a malicious activity but certainly can be very irritating Online Marketing practice which can disturb the people’s normal browsing experience.

The FoundFax Malware

Browser hijackers such as FoundFax are usually included in software installation packages with other programs, most of which are distributed free of charge. The most common web locations where such software can be found are free software platforms, shareware sites, torrent sites, different automatic installation managers, spam messages and free web downloads.

It is best to avoid downloading and installing software packages from such web sources if you want to keep your browser safe from potentially unwanted programs or at least to pay close attention to the EULA and the advanced/custom setup settings. If you have already installed FoundFax.com inside your PC, however, you are probably eager to learn how to uninstall it and how to effectively remove all the nagging pop-up ads, page-redirect prompts and banner notifications that come with it.

But the web browsing disturbance is not the only reason why you may want to get rid of such software. A program like FoundFax.com can also be used for other invasive marketing practices, aside from the constant flow of aggressive ads. For instance, it can be scheduled to collect some general information about your online activities, your recent searches, your bookmarks or the pages you visit frequently. In this way, the program seeks to learn about the preferences of the users and their online behavior so that it can display more relevant ads to them. However, some people may find this practice as disturbing. Moreover, in most instances, this type of software only uses valuable space and system resources without providing any useful functionality and can anytime redirect you to web locations with questionable offers. Therefore, if you want to reduce the likelihood of bumping into irrelevant web content or even worse – viruses, Trojans, Ransomware and similar malware, we suggest you use the removal guide below.
