This page aims to help you remove Alphashoppers.co “Virus”. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Alphashoppers.co is an annoying piece of software/browser extension that belongs to the category of the browser hijackers. Once installed on your browser, this application may change the default search engine with its own domain and may start redirecting you to certain preset web locations.

Alphashoppers.co

The main distribution technique used by this browser hijacker is software bundling (grouping software into one installer). This way, it can be distributed along with various free programs that you can download from the Internet. You can also download Alphashoppers.co from its official web page directly to your Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or other browsers. The creators present this program as a free search tool that enhances the peoples’ web experience but in fact, the main idea of the program is to generate revenue based on Pay-Per-Click ads and redirects to sponsored pages. According to the information that we have, some people are facing disturbance and irritation due to the activities of this hijacker and they are reporting redirects and exposure to unwanted ads, pop-ups, and banners, which bother them.

After “hijacking” the default browser on the computer, Alphashoppers.co “Virus” usually starts displaying sponsored content in some of the search results. It can also be used to track user search queries, visited sites, IP addresses, and other similar information. The information gathered helps the developers create a profile of the preferences of each individual user and later display targeted ads. However, the ads and redirects to promoted pages might sometimes put one’s system at risk. To protect yourself from redirects caused by clicking one of these ads, you might want to consider uninstalling Alphashoppers.co from your computer. In fact, we would recommend you remove the ads and the software that generates them in order to prevent future exposure to potential malicious transmitters and threats such as Ransomware, Trojans and other computer viruses.

To remove Alphashoppers.co effectively, you have two options – manual and automatic uninstallation. If you choose the manual method, make sure that you carefully follow the instructions in the Removal Guide below and only delete data related to the hijacker. If you find it difficult to remove Alphashoppers.co manually, select the second option. The automatic removal method offers you to delete the hijacker using the professional anti-malware program that we have suggested within the removal guide. It can detect and eliminate the unwanted program (as well as some other potentially unwanted elements) without any risk for your system.

Additional problems, which may be caused by Alphashoppers.co “Virus”

As mentioned earlier, the presence of Alphashoppers.co on your computer may lead to the generation of misleading or fake ads on your screen, which may redirect you to high-risk web pages. These pages may have been created by cyber criminals looking for naive victims. In addition to redirecting users to questionable webpages and disturbing their online experience with ad sessions, the browser hijacker might have yet another possible negative trait related to your web searches – it may modify your search results in favor of content that it’s trying to push. As a result, finding what you’re searching for can become a difficult task. So, to save yourself from the disturbance and to minimize the risk of landing on some nasty computer viruses (Ransomware, Trojans, Spyware, etc.) it is a good idea to scan your computer with the professional malware removal tool from the current page and make sure there are no other suspicious items installed on your computer.

How can Alphashoppers.co get installed on your PC?

Although Alphashoppers.co has an official web page, its creators also use a controversial distribution strategy called “software bundling”. This software distribution method allows the installation of a potentially unwanted program as an additional component to different software packages. Many potentially unwanted programs can be downloaded for free from P2P networks, file sharing sites, torrents, and other insecure sources, mainly in software packages that contain “suggested” components. Alphashoppers.co may have also been downloaded this way, likely along some free software, which has been installed on your PC via the Quick/Recommended setup settings. The problem with these settings is that they typically have the installation of any third-party applications included in the software package enabled by default. When using these settings, users give indirect permission installing the entire package. Meanwhile, the Advanced/Custom Settings reveal which additional apps have been added to the package and allow their installation to be rejected. That’s why, to avoid unwanted programs, we advise you to always choose these settings and carefully follow each installation step.

Uninstall Alphashoppers.co safely

Technically, Alphashoppers.co is not a virus. This is a potentially unwanted browser-modifying and page-redirecting application. Yet, due to its annoying ad-generating behavior and the ability to appear in the browser unexpectedly and alter its functionality, it is often referred to as a virus. In reality, this hijacker cannot cause major damage to your computer, yet still, you should not keep it there.
