Popular browsing programs such as Chrome, Explorer, Firefox or Opera are often the target of software components like MacBook Air Virus or similar ad-generating pieces of software and are thus forced to display different sponsored commercials during each browsing session. This behavior is seen as very irritating and more and more people are seeking effective methods to have the hijacker uninstalled in order to remove its changes from their system. In case that your PC has also been invaded by MacBook Air Virus, on this page you will find some very useful instructions on how to deal with it. We have prepared a detailed Removal Guide and a professional removal tool, which can help you safely remove the undesired application and bring your hijacked browser back to normal.

What should you know before you follow the manual?

MacBook Air Virus is a new addition to the infamous browser hijacker software family. The normal behavior of this piece of software is associated with some aggressive online advertising activity which is supposed to promote certain services, products, web pages or apps on the users’ screen by displaying intrusive ads and redirecting the search queries to some sponsored advertising content. In its nature, such advertising activity is not malicious and cannot cause significant system damage. However, if not removed, the aggressive ads-generation may lead to a never-ending ads disturbance and unwanted interruptions of the normal web surfing. Normally, those who have browser hijacker operating on their system complain from intense exposure to promotional content along with some changes in their browsers homepage or search engine settings. The hijacked browser may frequently experience crashes, freezing of the screen or unresponsiveness to the searches which may easily spoil the overall web surfing experience and prevent the web users from browsing the Internet normally. Luckily, there is an effective solution to all that disturbance. Those of you, who don’t want to tolerate the browser hijacker and its activities could safely uninstall it with the help of the instructions in the Removal Guide below.

Does MacBook Air Virus represent any danger to the computer?

Those of you, who are concerned about the safety of their computer would be pleased to learn that MacBook Air Virus usually has no common features with any computer virus or any sort of malware. Unlike a Ransomware or a Trojan horse threat, this piece of software cannot steal your data, encrypt your files or corrupt your OS. What is more, MacBook Air Virus is very unlikely to affect anything else in the system apart from your default browser. For this reason, most security experts do not regard the browser hijacker infection as a fatal computer threat. The purpose of this software is simply to advertise and to generate pay-per-click profit for its creators and not to harass you or perform any type of cyber crime.

Another very important thing that differentiates MacBook Air Virus from the real computer viruses is the fact that this software cannot usually get installed or replicate on its own and usually needs to users’ permission to get inside the system. And while it is very typical for the Ransomware or Trojan-based infections to sneak inside the machine in complete stealth, if you have ended up with a browser hijacker, the chances are that you have most probably allowed it to enter your system by agreeing on its installation terms (albeit, without realizing it at the time). In fact, this is the most common way for ad-generating applications to land on the system because most of the users complete the installation process of new software via the Automatic/Quick setup method and rarely use the Custom/Advanced settings to check for additionally bundled software. And this is exactly what they need to do in order to customize the given setup and to disable any potentially unwanted applications that might have been included in the package.

What is the safe way to uninstall MacBook Air Virus and remove its changes?

Browser hijackers are not so difficult to deal with. Still, they oftentimes cannot be uninstalled the usual way and require some computer skills or a professional software tool in order to be fully removed from the system. On this page, there is a detailed Removal Guide with manual instructions for those of you who can strictly follow them as well as a specialized MacBook Air Virus removal tool for automatic detection and elimination. We advise you to take a look at both of the options and select the removal method that you feel more comfortable with.
