You have all probably already heard about the Ransomware cryptoviruses and how nasty and harmful they could be. After all, these nefarious malware programs are probably second only to the infamous Trojan Horses in terms of “popularity”. The reason for this is obvious – the representatives of the Ransomware cryptovirus category attack users from all over the world and not just regular people but also big companies, schools, universities, hospitals and even governments. The main goal of most such infections is to block the access to any important files that may be present in the infected system. Usually, the malware has a predetermined list of file formats that its supposed to seek out inside a computer and lock all data belonging to those file formats. After this stage of the infection is over and the users of the attacked machine cannot open any of the files that got locked, the Ransomware infection offers its victims the following solution for their problem – they can pay a certain sum of money to the criminals behind the attack and their files will be released from the malware’s grasp. Usually, the hackers promise that they will send a special key to their victims that will reverse the encryption of the files. Of course, there is the question if such statements made by the hackers can really be trusted – after all, what’s to stop such anonymous cyber criminals from keeping the money the users send them without giving the latter a solution for their locked documents? This is why we must warn you that paying is usually not the best thing you can do in such a situation.

Recently, there has been a big number of reports and complaints about a threatening malware piece named .NamPoHyu. According it works like a Ransomware and encrypts the files of its victims. In the guide that will follow, we will explain to you how you may be able to remove .NamPoHyu from your machine and prevent it from causing any more issues.

What are the options after an infection with .NamPoHyu?

As we pointed out before the guide, opting for the payment of the money that the hackers require of you isn’t necessarily a good approach to this situation. However, we must tell you that even if you remove .NamPoHyu using the guide we’ve posted on this page, you will still not automatically regain the access to the encrypted data documents and other locked files in your computer. To retrieve the already encrypted files, you can try some of the suggestions we’ve included in the second section of the guide but we can’t tell you if and how well those suggestions would work. They may or may not bring your data back. In the end, you will have to decide for yourself which course of action seems to be the best in your case but we must still remind you that if you pay the hackers, the money you send the is gone for good regardless of whether you receive back a decryption key for your data or not.
