Thread Property for Mac

Thread Property for Mac is a browser hijacking application that has been designed to take over the main web browser and to redirect users to ad-supported pages. Thread Property for Mac is also known to generate revenue for its developers by filling the browser’s screen with hundreds of pay-per-click ads.

Browser hijackers are generally regarded as potentially unwanted, as these programs are typically able to control the browser and to modify its settings without asking the user’s for approval. The main goal of any browser hijacker is to display ads and to reroute users to pre-defined pages because in this way it can earn revenue for its creators from the clicks and the rerouted traffic.

What is Thread Property

Thread Property is a browser hijacking application that is made to make money for its creators by constantly showing paid advertisements and page-redirect prompts to partnering sites. By default, Thread Property is not malicious software or a virus but its activities can be highly annoying.

Despite lacking the harmful abilities of a Trojan horse or a Ransomware virus, you will still need some help to stop the annoying activities of the browser hijacker. That is because only by uninstalling the unwanted program will you be able to stop it from messing with your browser. Nevertheless, it is often difficult to fully remove a browser hijacker from your Mac as the process typically involves a lot of steps. That is why you will have to follow our manual removal guide carefully or simply use the professional removal tool to successfully and completely uninstall Thread Property from your machine.

The ThreadProperty app

The ThreadProperty app is a type of potentially unwanted software that establishes control over the main web browser without asking for the users’ permission. The ThreadProperty app is also associated with a never-ending stream of pop-up ads and banners that constantly spam the screen of the hijacked browser.

Thread Property can even start to open certain web addresses automatically, in an attempt to increase their traffic but such auto-redirects and aggressive ads should not be taken lightly. It’s definitely annoying to have to deal with different nagging notifications and new tabs, but what can pose a risk for your system’s security is if you happen to click on a fake or misleading message. In this case, you may land on a page that has been compromised by real viruses, including Ransomware and Trojans. Fortunately, if you remove Thread Property right away and reset your browser’s settings, you will greatly reduce this risk.
