Can one handle the infection safely?

As we already mentioned above, Trojans are very dangerous cyber threats. They can cause various computer problems – from system errors and sluggishness to data and money theft, or infection with another malware. The hackers can technically gain full remote access to the infected machine and mess up with its software and system resources as they please. If Poweliks is on your system, you may become a victim of complete data deletion, serious PC malfunction or corruption, theft of sensitive information such as passwords, banking details or login credentials and many other criminal deeds. To handle an infection of this rank safely, you need to remove it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, this is not an easy task and may often require professional assistance. Do not attempt to remove Poweliks manually if you are not really sure what you are deleting. It is advisable to use the Removal guide below or the automatic removal tool in order to correctly detect and eliminate the Trojan without risk of further system issues.

How to protect your PC?

One very important thing that every web user has to ensure is to protect their system from malware as much as possible. Trojans are indeed tricky threats, especially the newly developed versions. However, there are some simple tips, which if you follow, may help you keep infections like Poweliks at bay. First of all, we advise you to install a trusted antivirus program. Use it regularly to scan your computer and update it to the latest virus definitions. Also, do not forget to update your OS with the latest security patches and eliminate outdated software, which could be easily compromised. Trojans are the kings of exploiting system vulnerabilities and that’s why maintaining a safe and up-to-date system should be your priority.
