Important: Victims of the ransomware should not pay.

We all want to be able to keep our personal data files safe and secure from the various malware threats that lurk the World Wide Web. Unfortunately, some of the malicious programs out there are very advanced and, at the same time, very sneaky and stealthy which makes them capable of silently sneaking inside the users’ computers and causing all kinds of harm to their systems and data. One such piece of malware is .Uudjvu File Virus – a new representative of the Ransomware cryptovirus category. Now, this particular category of infections doesn’t actually seek to cause harm to your computer or to your files. However, what it can do is lock up your data and harass you into paying a ransom to the hackers behind the virus if you want your data back. Of course, there is no way of knowing if you would actually recover any of your files even if you pay the money the hackers have requested and that is why we would generally not advise you to immediately go for that “solution” to your Ransomware-related issue. Instead, a better course of action would be to remove the infection and try out any potential alternative methods to restore your files. Here, within this article, we have included a guide that can help our visitors remove .Uudjvu File Virus from their computers and we have also added some data-recovery alternatives in a separate section of the guide.

So, if you are one of the many users who have the malicious .Uudjvu File Virus on their machines and if you don’t want to pay the ransom and thus risk wasting your money for nothing, we advise you to have a look at the following instructions and complete the manual steps in order to take care of the nasty cryptovirus so that it could no longer encrypt any more of your files.

How to Decrypt .Uudjvu File Virus files

We have a comprehensive (and daily updated) guide on how to decrypt your files. Check it out here.

File recovery and future data protection tips

To be perfectly honest with you, we can’t guarantee that the methods we’ve suggested on our site regarding the recovery of the locked-up files would be enough for you to get your files back. That being said, the situation is similar with the ransom-payment option – you really can’t be sure if the hackers are actually going to keep their promises and allow you to restore your sealed data. However, if you try our recommendations, you’d at least not have to send any money to some anonymous cyber-criminals who may or may not send you back the details for the recovery of your files.

One other very important thing to point out with regards to Ransomware infections like .Uudjvu File Virus is that the best way to protect your files against them is to always have a regularly updated file backup location where you store copies of all of your important and valuable files. A very essential tip here would be to never connect your backup to your computer if you suspect that there might be a Ransomware like .Uudjvu File Virus or some other nasty malware on the PC cause that way you may get the backup infected as well.
