Your Generic Android
Your Generic Android is a browser hijacker app that targets Android devices. Specifically, it can integrate with your Chrome or other browser that you have installed, and begin to spam your browsing experience with ads.
In addition, if you have had this program installed on your smartphone or tablet, you will notice other changes to your browser’s appearance. For instance, replacements of your typical browser homepage and the default search engine are reported fairly commonly by users. And in addition to that, many complain about the frequent spontaneous page redirects that seem to take place out of the blue.
The good news is that you won’t have to put up with these annoying popups, banners, page redirects and other forms of online advertising for much longer. You can rid your browsing program of all of these nuisances including the changed settings by simply removing Your Generic Android from your device. And to help you do this, we have included a detailed removal guide just below this post.
Is Your Generic Android dangerous?
You might be wondering whether the presence of Your Generic Android poses any threat to your system. Technically, this is a relatively harmless type of application that shouldn’t be confused with a virus or malware.

Whether you use the default “Internet” App for browsing or a different browser like Chrome you need to go to:
Locate the Browser/App in question and tap on it.
Now the method is effectively the same for users using both “Internet” and Chrome/Other Browsers, yet for more clarity we have provided instructions for both:
For “Internet” Browser Users:
Tap the Force Stop button.
Now tap the Clear Data and Clear Cache Buttons.
For Google Chrome Users:
Click on Force Stop.
Then click on Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Restart your Browser. It might be a good idea to Reboot your Android device, just in case.
If you are still seeing Ads in your browser, it is likely they are generated by the websites you visit and there is nothing you can do about it.
However, if you are seeing Adverts outside of your internet browser, then one of your installed Apps contains the problematic Adware. In this case you need to take a look at this guide.
