Feed Chunk Mac

Feed Chunk

Feed Chunk is a software application designed to make modifications to your web browsing app and to display advertisements on your screen. Feed Chunk can change the main search engine and set up a new homepage that redirects you to sponsored websites.

Feed Chunk

The Feed Chunk Virus will redirect your browser searches.

If you’ve been infected with a browser hijacker called Feed Chunk and are now desperately trying to get rid of it, on this page, you will find what you need. The symptoms of having such software on your system are hard to ignore and include occasional page-redirects and a possible change in the homepage or the default search engine of your Chrome, Firefox, Safari or whichever browser you are using as your default. Other, even more annoying symptoms include the generation of numerous ads on your screen that show up in inconvenient places –  pop-ups to banners, plain text hyperlinks, box messages, etc. If you’ve been struggling with a similar activity, in the next lines, we will give you the instructions you need to uninstall Feed Chunk and permanently remove its changes on your own. For that, we have prepared a special removal guide, which you will find below.

Programs like Feed Chunk are designed to serve the online marketing industry – they are tools that deliver advertisements directly to the screen of web users or page-redirect their web searches to specific sponsored websites. There is a lot of money involved in this online advertising method. The developers of browser hijackers typically earn revenue based on the number of clicks their advertisements get. This is possible thanks to a strategy known as Pay-Per-Click, where every click counts and brings income. Naturally, the developers seek ways to maximize their Pay-Per-Click revenue by increasing the chances of the users clicking on the intrusive ads their software displays. This happens through various methods: for instance, they set programs like Feed Chunk to constantly cover your screen with sponsored banners which are hard to navigate past since they are typically located on top of the page buttons. Or, they install a new search engine or a homepage which are programmed to redirect you to predefined revenue-generating pages the very moment you open your web browser.

From a legal point of view, there is no problem with such methods since they are only used to promote advertising content and are not intended to harm your computer in any way. However, clicking on such pop-up notifications, banners, and sponsored advertisements that Feed Chunk may display on your screen is not a good idea. The reason is that you can never be sure where those adverts may redirect you to. Moreover, nowadays, there are many misleading and malicious web ads that, once clicked on, may land you a virus as nasty as a Ransomware or a Trojan Horse.

For many experts, the above is already enough to put browser hijackers in the category of potentially unwanted programs. But although programs like Feed Chunk could potentially expose you to web ads that may contain viruses, it is important to mention that the browser hijackers are not identical to viruses. They don’t have the malicious abilities of threats such as Trojans and surely cannot encrypt your files like Ransomware even if you have them on your machine.

Yet, if the browser hijackers disturb you, it is a good idea to uninstall them and remove their sponsored messages and browser changes with the help of the instructions in the removal guide below. Alternatively, you can use the professional Feed Chunk removal tool for an in-depth system scan and a fast detection of the unwanted program.
