This page aims to help you remove Uncheckit “virus”. These Uncheckit uninstall instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.
What is Uncheckit – a useful program or an intrusive and annoying PUP?
In the past week we noticed something quite peculiar. Multiple questions from our readers, including ones like “uncheckit что это”, “uncheckit nedir”, “uncheckit là gì”, “uncheckit co to jest”, “uncheckit was ist das”. In other words hardly a language was amiss when discussing this potential problem, clearly indicating the widespread nature of the issue.
We all know that there are two main types of programs when it comes to whether you want them on your PC and not. The first type are the legit and useful ones, that serve their purpose and don’t cause problems to you PC. The other type of programs are the viruses – it’s widely known how malicious and harmful they are not only to your computer, but also to your virtual and sometimes even real-life privacy. However, there’s a third type of programs – they usually pose no threat to your machine and virtual security, but they are still considered unwanted. The term for such software is PUP (potentially unwanted program). In fact there are so many of them, that probably every PC user has had to deal with one at least once. PUP is a general term, but there are numerous sub-categories like adware, bloatware, trialware etc. Some potentially unwanted programs fall under more than one of those categories. In this specific article we’ll be covering the topic of Uncheckit – yet another application that has been reported numerous times by people for its intrusive behaviour. This one in particular is associated with the adware category, as it will supposedly block unwanted program installations for you.
Is Uncheckit “virus” or a PUP?
Adware are browser add-ons infamous for their various obstructive ads such as pop-ups, banners, box messages and even page redirects. In theory, Uncheckit is supposed to enhance one’s PC experience by blocking unwanted programs from installing – at least that’s how the PUP is promoted by its developers. However, in reality its the exactly opposite. Users have been complaining that once the unwanted application got on their PC, their browser became clogged with all those obstructive ads. If that’s your case as well, there’s no need to worry and here’s why: many people think that adware programs are harmful for their PC and start panicking once they realize Uncheckit “virus” has gotten into their system. There are even some articles that will have you believe this PUP is actually a big deal and can wreak havoc with your machine – there’s no such thing. Many people mistakenly believe Unckeckit is a “virus”. As we already said, there’s why the term PUP exist and why we don’t simply refer to Uncheckit as a virus. As annoying as it may be and regardless of how it got installed it itself poses no threat to your computer. Still, it should be noted that the ads you see displayed online might hide potential security hazards. Now, this is rare, most adware ads aren’t fake or illegal, but it is still good to know that all once in a while, one of them might actually redirect you to some illegal or even malicious site. That is why we strongly recommend to avoid clicking on any of the ads and close any page redirects without interacting with their content. Also, make sure that you remove the PUP as soon as possible – there’s just no need for any unnecessary risks. Under this article, we’ve provided our readers with a guide on how to uninstall and remove Uncheckit, therefore, you can get rid of the adware right away. With all that said it’s no wonder why so many foreign readers are interested in “uncheckit что это”, “uncheckit nedir”, “uncheckit là gì”, “uncheckit co to jest”, “uncheckit was ist das”.
Before we get to the removal part, there are several useful tips we’d like to share with you. This will help you avoid getting any adware programs or other PUP’s in future. It’s important to remember that it is times easier to prevent any unwanted software from getting into your system than it is to have it removed afterwards. Besides, there are much more problematic programs out there and if you are not careful, landing Uncheckit will be the least of your worries. In order to effectively fend off any potential adware intruders, you’ll need to know how they get distributed among the internet.
There are many different distribution methods – some of the most common ones are spam e-mails, unreliable torrent or file-sharing sites and other generally shady webpages. Still, the most effective one is the program-bundling. For the most part this method is legal and legit. That is why it’s actually pretty easy to prevent Uncheckit from getting installed. Here’s how the method works: when the adware is bundled with another program (usually a free or a cheap one) and that program gets installed, the intrusive PUP gets into your system as well. To avoid this all you need to do is simply select the advanced/custom settings in the installation menu – this will enable you to customize your installation. There should be a list of any added content to the main program – uncheck everything that seems suspicious or unwanted. Know that Uncheckit may go under a different name. If you are not sure, you may as well uncheck everything – hardly anything lost there. Once you do that, you are safe to proceed with the installation.

|Distribution Method||There are many possible methods such as spam e-mails, unreliable torrents and shady file-sharing sites. However, the most successful one is the program-bundling.|
|Detection Tool||Uncheckit may be difficult to track down. Use SpyHunter – a professional parasite scanner – to make sure you find all files related to the infection.|
